Dr. Craghead’s clinical training includes a pre-doctoral internship at the Salisbury (NC) Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, where he continued his work with trauma-informed treatment processes, and those experiencing the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. His post-doctoral residency was completed with a return to his graduate institution, where he worked in Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and their College of Dental Medicine. Here, Dr. Craghead worked to assist patients managing their experience of pain, those experiencing depression and anxiety, as well as those experiencing long term chronic illness, and other life adjustments. Dr. Craghead works primarily with older adolescents through those in their senior adulthood, having spent time working in a university student counseling center, adult outpatient clinics, and a senior living center and hospice facility. He is passionate about helping clients become their best version of themselves, and enjoys working with clients who find themselves at a cross-road in life and need help focusing on the “what next” that we all often find ourselves periodically facing in life. Treatment is approached through a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), person centered, and solution focused approaches
